  • Microsoft refuses to honor warranty on their Controllers

I have recently spoken with Microsoft regarding my faulty xbox one controller. I was on the phone with them for about 2 hours. I was disconnected 3 times, and was finally told, that because I don't own a console, they will not honor the warranty that is prominently displayed on the back of the box. So I started a petition, with the hopes of getting them to honor the warranty. I wanted to bring this to your attention because it affects all PC gamers who use a Microsoft controller. The long story and the petition is here.

Thank you for your time. Sincerely

    Michael Allred

Think about applying your rights as a UK buyer and speak to the retailer. Sale of Goods act is your friend here.

That's ridiculous, did you get it sorted in the end? (Bit late I know, but would like to know the outcome)

This sounds a bit silly to me.

I mean, they market the controller as being compatible with both PC & Xbox. So, I'm not sure why they would say that you would have needed to own a console.

When things like this happen to me, I always write a letter. I like to think, if someone takes the time to write a letter, it'll be taken seriously.
